National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET June 2026 notification for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor eligibility, and PhD admissions. Applications are open from 29 April — last date is 20 May 2026!

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

1. General / UR / General-EWS candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree or equivalent in Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages, Computer Science, Electronic Science, etc.
2. OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender candidates must have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree or equivalent.
3. Candidates appearing in or awaiting results of their final year Master's examination may also apply provisionally. They must complete their Master's degree with the required percentage within two years from the date of NET result, failing which they will be treated as disqualified.

Age Limit:

• JRF: Maximum 30 years as on 01 June 2026. Age relaxation as per government norms.
• Assistant Professor: No upper age limit.
• PhD Admission: No upper age limit.

📥 How to Apply Online

1. Visit the official NTA UGC NET portal (link below) and click Apply Online.
2. Register with your valid email ID and mobile number to create an account.
3. Log in and fill in the application form with personal, academic, and other required details.
4. Select your preferred exam subject and centre city.
5. Upload photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
6. Pay the application fee on or before 20 May 2026 via Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI.
7. Submit the application and save/print the confirmation page for future reference.
8. Use the Correction Window (22–24 May 2026) to edit any details if needed.
9. Download the Admit Card from the NTA website on or after 15 June 2026.
