🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026):

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years
• Eligible candidates: Born not before 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2007
• Age relaxation applicable as per government norms — refer to official notification.

For Post Codes A, B & C — Junior Hindi Translator / JTO / Junior Translator:

1. Master's degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or as medium at degree level; OR
2. Master's degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as medium at degree level; OR
3. Master's degree in any subject other than Hindi/English with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level; OR
4. Master's degree in any subject other than Hindi/English with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level; OR
5. Master's degree in any subject other than Hindi/English with both Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either as medium at degree level.
6. AND — Recognised Diploma/Certificate in translation (Hindi ↔ English), OR 2 years' experience of translation work (Hindi ↔ English) in a Central/State Government office or PSU.

For Post Code D — Senior Hindi Translator / Senior Translator:

• Same educational qualification as above (points 1–5), AND
• Recognised Diploma/Certificate in translation (Hindi ↔ English), OR 3 years' experience of translation work (Hindi ↔ English) in a Central/State Government office or PSU.

2. Register or log in to your existing SSC account.
3. Select the JHT 2026 recruitment and fill in all personal, educational, and experience details.
4. Choose your preferred post code (A / B / C / D) as per your eligibility.
5. Upload the required documents — photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
6. Pay the application fee (if applicable) before 15 May 2026 via the available online modes.
7. Submit the form and save/print the confirmation page.
8. Use the Correction Window (19–20 May 2026) if any changes need to be made.
